Some time ago, Captain Mal Reynolds took two passengers aboard his cargo ship, Serenity: Doctor Simon Tam, and his mentally unbalanced sister, River. Ever since then, the Alliance has been attempting to capture these two fugitives, to retrieve the secrets River harbours. Up until now, Mal and his crew have managed to evade the clutches of the authorities, but now the Alliance are closing in, and when the crew of Serenity attempt to run, they encounter the vicious, cannibalistic space scavengers known as Reavers. With danger on all sides, not everyone may be lucky to get out alive…
