The pressure of imminent Cylon attack continues to weigh on the crew of the Galactica: tempers flare during Starbuck’s regular game of poker; Helo finds himself the target of his comrades’ contempt over his love for Boomer and the child she carries; Tyrol condemns the party thrown to celebrate Cally’s release from the ship’s brig, and then he and Helo clash over their love for the same ‘woman’, which ends in a brawl on the hanger deck. In the command centre, something inexplicably triggers a transmission sent into deep space; Commander Adama is concerned that the Cylons could use this to track their position, but before any action can be taken by Dee, her station explodes. Dee is unharmed, but when Colonel Tigh orders Gaeta to begin repairs, the Lieutenant overreacts due to the demands being placed on him and his team. Hoping to take his mind off Boomer, Tyrol decides to give himself a new project: the construction of a new stealth fighter completely from scratch. When the Chief asks his team to help, their initial reaction is to dismiss the idea as fantasy; however, as the project gets underway, Tyrol finds that more and more of his crewmates are eager to help out – and Starbuck even offers to fly the craft for him. Meanwhile, President Roslin learns from Doctor Cottle that her cancer has advanced, and she now has less than one month to live. Mysterious power fluctuations and systems failures begin occurring on the Galactica, and Apollo, Starbuck and Racetrack nearly suffocate to death when the ship’s environmental computer decides to turn off the oxygen supply to the firing range. When Baltar realises that these problems are due to a sentient Cylon logic bomb present in the computer system, Commander Adama is forced to turn to Boomer for help; the Cylon replicant immediately informs him that the virus is corrupting the Galactica’s systems, turning them against the crew in order to cause havoc and pave the way for an attack by an approaching fleet of Cylon fighters…
