'Caught in the Spider's Den' Story Code '9753-Part 2' by Robert Mintz |
Holy Webbing! Just as the two deadly Black Widow spiders are about to bite Batman and Robin, the Caped Crusader uses the 5,000-volt mini-charge in his utility belt to electrocute the arachnids. Unsticking themselves from the web, the Dynamic Duo race to the Black Widow's hideout, where they interrupt the avaricious arachnid and her henchmen, who are busy counting their loot. But the Black Widow reverses the polarity of her brain device and short circuits the Caped Crusader’s brain; the Boy Wonder is saved by a lost electrode, but is quickly captured and tied up. Now under Black Widow's spell, Batman uses his Remote-Controlled Batcomputer Oscillator to locate a bank beginning with ‘H’ for the webby woman to rob; the computer responds with the name of the Heritage Bank and a warning that Batman's life will be in danger if he accompanies the villainess on the heist. The Widow therefore decides to make the robbery disguised as Robin, accompanied by a rubber dummy dressed as Batman…
