When an agent is killed on the thirteenth hole of the Craigleigh golf course, Steed and Mrs. Peel are called in to investigate. They join the golfing club and begin their search for clues, but soon Collins, the club's acting secretary and club professional, is killed by a golf ball fired at high-velocity. Steed and Mrs. Peel discover that a group of villains led by Reed are using a deadly weapon to keep people away, while they use a satellite to sell scientific secrets to the other side…
