Sharp, a British traitor and defector who is now an Abarain revolutionary engaged in negotiating arms talks in England. Five years ago, Sharp was the target of a failed assassination attempt, and by an amazing coincidence, Mark Charter, the agent assigned to kill him, and who has been presumed dead, arrives on the scene after spending five years in prison. Fearing that Charter may wish to continue his failed mission, Steed and Mrs. Gale find themselves charged with the task of protecting a man Britain had once wanted dead, and must stop Charter before he ruins the arms talks...
