'Expecting' Story Code '1ADH12' by Howard Gordon

After experiencing a vision of a hatching baby thing with claws, Cordelia enjoys a rare night out with her girlfriends, Serena and Emily. At a trendy nightclub, she is introduced to a handsome fashion photographer, Wilson Christopher, and the two of them get along very well. Cordelia invites him to spend the night with her, but when she wakes up the following morning, she finds that she is alone - and hugely pregnant. Worried that Cordelia did not come to work, Angel and Wesley arrive at the apartment, and are shocked to see her predicament. Believing it to be the work of a demon that needs a human host to reproduce, Angel attempts to track down Wilson, and learns that Cordelia’s other friends are similarly mysteriously pregnant. Meanwhile, Wesley takes Cordelia to a see doctor, only to discover that she is eight-and-a-half months pregnant with seven demon babies. Cordelia becomes concerned that the babies may be evil, and is convinced that they are trying to talk to her. Angel tracks down Wilson and realises that he is human; meanwhile, Wesley discovers what kind of demon is growing inside of Cordelia, but when he tries to tell her, she knocks him out, afraid that her babies will be threatened. Angel ‘persuades’ Wilson to reveal the location of the demon’s hideout, and arranges to meet Wesley there; they arrive at the building and find Cordelia and several other women in a trance, all about to give birth to their demon offspring. The Haxil demon appears, but Angel and Wesley manage to kill it using liquid nitrogen; its babies dissipate in their hosts, leaving the women unharmed. After a few days off, Cordelia returns to work, and Angel and Wesley are happy to see her back to her old self.
