Angel Cast

Having decided that he and Buffy can never be together, Angel has left Sunnydale, and is now residing in Los Angeles. Here he encounters Doyle, a half-human, half-Brachial demon with the ability to see visions of the future, a gift bestowed upon him by the ‘Powers That Be’. These mysterious beings have sent Doyle to Angel to help give his life focus, encouraging him to take on specific missions to help the helpless, and thereby redeeming himself for all the suffering he inflicted when he was Angelus; in return they promise that one day Angel will become human again. Angel also meets Cordelia, an old friend from Sunnydale, who has come to Los Angeles in search of her ‘big break’. However, in reality Cordelia is a terrible actress who is struggling to make ends meet. When a friend of hers sets up a meeting with a powerful film producer, Cordelia is thrilled; but when she arrives, it quickly becomes apparent that the man is in fact a vampire, and she is now trapped with him. Luckily Angel arrives, killing the vampire and saving Cordelia; but in the process, Angel makes enemies of the man’s extremely powerful lawyers, Wolfram and Hart - and agency that represent the demon world. Later, Cordelia suggests that she, Angel and Doyle set up a detective agency, Angel Investigations, to help the helpless victims seen in Doyle’s visions.
