After a bloodthirsty Drokken demon emerges from an inter-dimensional portal in the middle of his karaoke bar, Lorne turns to Angel Investigations for help. When Cordelia then experiences a vision of a girl, some books and a portal, the team realise that the two events are somehow connected. Investigating the Public Library, Angel Wesley, Cordelia and Lorne learn of a girl named Winifred ‘Fred’ Burkle, who mysteriously vanished from the Foreign Language section five years ago. The team soon uncovers the secret behind Fred’s disappearance –in the process, Lorne meets some old acquaintances, while Cordelia discovers a strange new world…
